We collect only the personal information we need. Depending on how you deal with us, this may include:
- your name, job title and the company you work for

- the details of your enquiry or project that you choose to share with us
- records of our correspondence and the services we provide
- basic technical information when you visit the website, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you view
We do not ask for sensitive information such as health, financial account or government identity details. Please don’t include it in an enquiry.
Why we collect it
We use personal information to:
- respond to your enquiry and understand your project needs
- provide, manage and invoice our services
- keep in touch about work we are doing with you or your organisation
- run, secure and improve this website
- meet our legal, insurance and regulatory obligations
We will only use or disclose your information for another purpose if you agree, if you would reasonably expect it, or if the law requires or allows it.
How we collect it
Most information comes directly from you, when you complete the enquiry form on this website, email or call us, meet with us, or engage us. We may also receive your details from a colleague, client or referrer, or from public sources such as your company website or LinkedIn profile.
When you visit the website, our hosting provider automatically records standard server logs, including your IP address, browser and the pages requested. We use these logs to keep the website secure and working properly.
Cookies
Cookies are small files saved by your browser. This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. WordPress, the system that runs the website, may set essential cookies when you log in or leave a comment so that those features work.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some features may not work if you do. If we add analytics or other cookies in future, we will update this policy.
Who we share it with
We do not sell or rent personal information. We share it only where needed for the purposes above, with:
- service providers who help us run the business, such as our website host, email and file storage providers, IT support and accounting software
- professional advisers such as accountants, insurers and lawyers
- other parties working on a project with you, but only where you ask us to or it is part of the work you have engaged us for
- government bodies or regulators where the law requires it
If all or part of our business is sold or restructured, personal information may pass to the new owner, who must handle it in line with this policy.
We ask our service providers to keep personal information secure and to use it only to provide their services to us.
Overseas storage
Some of our service providers, such as email and cloud storage providers, may store information on servers outside Australia, for example in the United States or Europe. Where that happens, we take reasonable steps to make sure the provider protects the information to a standard consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles.
Security and how long we keep it
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss, unauthorised access, change or disclosure. These steps include secure passwords and multi factor authentication on our systems, limiting access to people who need it, and keeping client files confidential.
We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes above or as required by law, such as tax and record keeping requirements. After that, we securely delete or de-identify it.
If we have a data breach that is likely to cause you serious harm, we will notify you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner where the law requires us to.
Accessing and correcting your information
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate, out of date or incomplete. Email info@ausinfra.com.au. We may need to confirm your identity before we respond.
We aim to respond within 30 days. There is no charge to make a request. If we cannot give you access or make a correction, we will explain why in writing, unless the law says we cannot.
Opting out
If you no longer want to hear from us, reply to any of our emails asking us to stop, or email info@ausinfra.com.au. This will not affect information we need to keep to provide services to you or your organisation.
Complaints
If you think we have breached this policy or the Australian Privacy Principles, please email your complaint to info@ausinfra.com.au with enough detail for us to understand the issue. We will acknowledge it promptly, look into it and respond in writing, usually within 30 days.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at www.oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.
